Sarah McCabe knows exactly what she wants...but what does God want for her?

The year is 1866, and Sarah McCabe has wanderlust. In an effort to become independent of her family back in Missouri, she accepts a governess position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, giving her a firsthand taste of the life she has always desired—a life of luxury, culture, and social privilege.

Richard Navis is a man determined to finish his indentureship to Captain Brian Sinclair and take over his family’s farm. But when he falls in love with Sarah, his homesteading goals blur. She doesn’t seem interested in settling down. What’s more, Richard fears she’s fallen victim to the captain’s charm and persuasion.

When Sarah’s reputation is questioned, Richard devises a bold plan in hopes of protecting her. But is he too late? Has Sarah already made her choice?

In Uncertain Heart, Andrea Kuhn Boeshaar continues the dramatic saga of the MaCabe family that she began in Unwilling Warrior.

I have read the Unwilling Warrior so I was excited to read Uncertain Heart  Book Two by Andrea Boeshaar! I was not disappointed! These are stand alone reads so one doesn't have to read book one to get into reading book two but it is better if you do. In the Uncertain Heart we meet up with Sarah McCabe. Being young and of full of adventure, Sarah was always wanting to go and see different places. Like a lot of young ladies almost into womanhood, Sarah wanted more that what she has

I absolutely, positively, no doubt about it, LOVED LOVED LOVED this book! Andrea Boeshaar is incredibly talented and each book she writes in this series gets better with each installment. After reading book 1, Unwilling Warrior, I knew I MUST have book 2. I waited anxiously for the release and when I got it, I couldn't WAIT to read it! I started it on a Thursday evening and had it finished by Saturday morning. In Uncertain Heart, Boeshaar tells of another McCabe family member, this one bein

I was pretty stoked to get this book to review it! i had reviewed the first one in the series a little bit ago and i LOVED it. i was sorta aprehensive mostly cause the series i've read lately they don't even include the same people as the first book did. and that kinda really bugs me. haha i know a weird thing to be bugged about but thats just me. so i wasn't sure what to expect, i also didn't really remember fully what the other one was about. i did but i didn't remember all details. tho

Wishing to be independent of her family, Sarah accepts a governess position in Milwaukee.  While she loves the children she cares for, she is also drawn to their father, the widower Captain Sinclair.  At the same time, Richard--who also works for the Captain--seems to have feelings for Sarah, and she isn't sure how she feels about him.  This tug-of-war in Sarah's heart is the central theme in Uncertain Heart.
