Will Becky’s Newfound Independence Lead Her Away from Friends, Family, and Even God?

Rob Frankston has waited four years for Becky Haynes to come home, but she arrives back in Barton Creek, newly graduated from college with an independent spirit that puzzles him. What’s more, she is accompanied by Geoff Kensington, a recent acquaintance who is showing more than a passing interest in her.

Becky is flattered and taken in by Geoff’s attentions, but when strange accidents start happening around the town, Rob becomes suspicions. Believing the old Becky is hidden beneath her façade of newfound independence, he is determined to find and bring her back. Is it just jealousy? Or, will he find answers and convince Becky to return to the faith of her childhood before it’s too late?

Book three in the Winds Across the Prairie series brings you back to the town of Barton Creek, providing a glimpse into everyday life at a time when Oklahoma was drawing homesteaders to its territory before the days of statehood.

This is a FANTASTIC series. Barton Creek is a town I wish I could be a part of. Finding Beckytakes us back to that sweet town, but added to the sweet story is a new character names Geoff Kensington......he brings along some mischief and mayhem when he arrives in town on the same train that brings Becky Haynes back into lovable Rob Frankston's life. But, Becky is long lost, and in her place is Miss Rebecca Haynes, the newly sophisticated woman journalist who's determined to stand up for woman's r

Finding Becky by Martha Rogers is a wonderful historical western that has a fabulous message as well!It has all the makings of a great western. There's action and adventure and danger. The thing I really like about this author is that she really weaves in some powerful messages that speak to us today as well.

Once again Martha Rogers brings us a grand story that seems to be right out of the history books.Becky Haynes is returning home after being gone to college for four years.  On the train home she meets a handsome man, Geoff Kingston.  Geoff is seemingly besotted with Becky and Becky likes the attention.  But at the train station as everyone is meeting and greeting Becky, her long time friend, Rob Frankston, wants some time to greet Becky too but every Becky goes there is Geoff, too!Rob can't figu

“Finding Becky” is the third in the Winds Across the Prairie series and kept my interest just like the first two book. Set in Oklahoma Territory, early 1900′s the series follows the settlers in their quest to carve out their family’s living. This book starts as Becky, or Rebecca, as she would now like to be addressed, arrives home after graduating from college in Boston. Four years away from OK has broadened her horizons and changed her in many ways. She is returning to her home town to be a wri

Finding Becky is the third book in the series Winds Across the Prairie by Martha Rogers.  I read Morning Dove and really enjoyed it better that I did this one.  I like the older historical storied better than in the 1900 ones.  This one took place in 1905 in the Oklahoma territory before it became a state the the women suffrage movement  was in full force. Rebecca Haynes had just returned home from college in Boston and had a joy in the local newspaper, but she was really into the suffra
